Features and Benefits

The Loctite® Epoxy Weld™ Bonding Compound is high impact resistant and water-resistant so it won’t crack when drilled or machined when fully cured. Its one-time application means it does not shrink and easily sets in 4-6 minutes for quick project completion. The Loctite® Epoxy Weld™ can withstand temperatures up to 350°F (177°C) intermittently with its high heat resistance compound. Because of its exceptional bond strength, its the ideal applicator for those jobs that require sheer strength of up to 3300 psi.

How to Use Loctite Epoxy Weld

Before you begin, gather the tools required which are typically a utility knife, mixing tool or applicator e.g. small flat plastic or a wooden stick and a disposable surface made of foil or paper. Protect the work area by keeping surfaces clean, dry and free from oil, wax and paint. For better adhesion, roughen smooth surfaces prior to cleaning.

Pierce the tube nozzles using the reverse side of the caps. Squeeze out equal amounts of resin and hardener on a clean, disposable surface. Prepare only as much as can be used within 3-5 minutes of mixing and then immediately recap the tube after use.

When applying to surfaces, the adhesive should be applied as a reinforcing fillet or splint over the joint for additional support. Support the bonding joints until bond sets in 10 to 15 minutes at room temperature. Avoid any skin and eye contact. Apply in a well-ventilated area and open windows and doors to achieve good cross-ventilation.
